Our 50-hour meditation teacher training course provides in-depth training in the art of meditation teaching at the foundational level. During this 7 days residential program, you will learn how to teach meditation in an orderly and professional manner. This course thoroughly covers all the basic meditation techniques & practices while providing an excellent overview of the advanced practices. The goal of this course is to establish an ideal foundation for you so you will be able to make optimal progress in your own spiritual journey and also take your your meditation- teaching skills to the professional level.


This course consists of a well-integrated sequence of guided meditation sessions, meditation-teaching practice classes and spiritual philosophy classes to progressively guide you towards deeper states of meditation, higher states of consciousness and richer states of being. Through persistent practice under careful guidance from our meditation master Sujit Guru and his dedicated team, you will learn and gain mastery of basic meditation techniques & practices, understanding properly how and why the techniques & practices work. At the same time, you will get excellent training in the art of teaching meditation. 


This course is ideal for those who are new to meditation and for experienced practitioners who wish to begin to teach meditation. It is also highly beneficial for yoga teachers who wish to incorporate excellent meditation practices in their yoga programs.

How the course is structured :


The course follows an effective and well-designed structure. First, you will be introduced to a specific meditation technique/practice, which will be described & explained in detail. Then you will practice the meditation technique during a fully-guided meditation session, carefully observing its effects on your body, mind & consciousness. Following the guided meditation session, there will be a teaching- practice class in which you will learn how to properly teach the technique to others and how to make your students feel and appreciate its beneficial effects. Thus, you will experience all meditation techniques/practices both as a practitioner and as a teacher. You will experience meditation and learn to teach meditation at gross, subtle & profound levels. At each level you will gain sufficient experience and knowledge, which you will help you to gain solid mastery.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate in your name with lifetime validity from Kathmandu Meditation School & Retreat, and also an additional YACEP certificate from Yoga Alliance, USA which will give you 50 hours of continuing education credits.

Sujit Guru is a highly realized sage, accomplished meditation trainer & wise spiritual mentor. About Location :


Our meditation school and retreat center is located in a peaceful suburb named Budhanilkantha, which lies 12 km north of Kathmandu valley. Situated on a beautiful hilltop in the verdant foothills of the majestic Shivapuri mountain, it is a peaceful place filled with vibrant spiritual energy that provides strong support for profound spiritual practices. Budhanilkantha is a charming town in the norther part of Kathmandu. It is famous for being a spiritual and religious centre for Hindus and Buddhists. It is also a much loved place for the practice of yoga and meditation.

Our place is easily accessible being just 15 km from Tribhuvan International Airport and 12 km from the tourist hub Thamel. All the important spiritual places and tourist places of Kathmandu valley are within easy reach from here. The most convenient means of transport to our place is taxi.  

How  to reach our place from Budhanilkantha??

we are just 2 km from the main centre of Budhanilkantha. There is a very famous temple called “Budhanilkatha Temple”. When you come from Thamel or Tribhuvan International Airport, it will be easy to locate our place by giving reference of Budhanilkantha Temple.

About 200 meters before reaching Budhanilkantha Chowk (main centre), there is a place called Deuba Chowk. Take a right turn  at Deuba Chowk. Our place is about 2 km from there. By taxi, it will take about 7 minutes whereas by walking it will take about 30 minutes. The name of the place we are located is called Badeli. Once you reach Badeli village, you will come to a small temple called Radha Krishna Mandir on your left. There you will see our signpost. Please follow the direction as mentioned in the signpost. 

Another easy way to reach our place is by following Google Map. 

About Food :


  • Meals: We provide delicious sattvic vegetarian food, served three times a day.
  • Drinks: Enjoy refreshing beverages like honey ginger lemon, mint water, and seasonal herbal drinks.

Accommodation :


We have a total of 10 rooms, designed to cater to different preferences. Our accommodations are divided into two types:


Western Style Accommodation


    • Rooms: We have a separate house with rooms designed for those who prefer modern comforts.
    • Facilities: Each room has an attached bathroom, air conditioning, hot and cold water, a comfortable bed, a mattress, and a cupboard.
    • Additional Features: All rooms include internet access and a balcony with views of the Shivapuri mountain and Kathmandu valley.
    • Options: Guests can choose to stay in single rooms or in double-sharing rooms.

We aim to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable, whether you prefer a traditional Nepali experience or modern Western amenities.

Nepali Style Accommodation

  1. Rooms: We offer 4 rooms in a guest house for those who prefer a local, natural experience without air conditioning.
    • Facilities: Each room has two single beds, Nepali-style mattresses and blankets, fans, and heaters (seasonal).
    • Shared Amenities: Restrooms (both Nepali and Western style) and showers are shared. We provide 24-hour hot water and free internet.
